Dan Kelly's Pub - Minneapolis

We didn’t end up getting to eat because the restaurant underestimated the volume of customers and despite having a reservation we waited 20 minutes to be sat and another 30 to have our order taken.

Went there before a concert. There were a ton of open tables but no staff. We waited for 1/2 hour and no one even came over. I asked if we could order food and they told us we’d have to move tables into the only servers section. We eventually got our food after 45 mins and it was good but I’ll never go back.

If being ignored by your server, eating with plastic cutlery and, literally, never getting your food (even after reminding your server) is your idea of a fun night out, this is the place for you.

Although our reservations were not actually honored when we arrived, a server found a spot quickly for us when this was reported. And the pub had a sign at the front that seating was seat yourself which I suspect was due to our dining time being 2 hours prior to Flogging Molly/Dropkick Murphys show. The staff seemed very busy, yet our server was attentive, friendly and very kind. Our food came quickly despite the busyness of the pub and was quite good for the price. We definitely will plan to visit this pub again. But do they actually take reservations?

Made a reservation on opentable for 8 people at 4pm on 5/5/18. Walked in the door to a sign that said “please seat yourself”. Needless to say no reservation. No food. Took 30 minutes to get a beverage since place was understaffed. Staff was hustling but couldn’t keep up.
