Bidra med feedbackWe were recommended the Sea Fare last August whilst staying in Dunster. We drove there that time. After a long beech walk from Dunster today, we sought out the Sea Fare. Clueless as to how to find it, and my eight year old son was starting to complain of hunger pangs, and finding ourselves down by Butlins, when fortune called and a Taxi happened by, and I hailed it. After an exchange of details, and as luck would have it, he knew the Sea Fare, and took us there, then happily waited for us, before returning the extremely hungry father and son to Dunster. The cod was as perfectly prepared in the most delicate of batter! Our Cod and chips were thoroughly enjoyed. We are moving to Dunster this August. So the Sea Fare will certainly be seeing this grateful father and son again before long. Thankyou Keith and Mac
As always best fish and chips portions are very very generous always food hot and very friendly and polite
I’m currently visiting from the Midlands and just picked up a family meal of six portions of cod and chips from here. It was absolutely delicious! They cooked it fresh while we waited, and it was definitely worth it! I highly recommend this place, and I hope to return before we head back home. Thank you!
Let me just say, it was absolutely delicious! My father and I visited this restaurant tonight, and even though I'm usually not a fan of fish, I promised myself that I had to try fish and chips at least once during my trip to Britain. I’m so glad I chose this fish and chips place. The food was prepared quickly and made fresh right on the spot. I ordered the fish and chips along with mushy peas and a pickled egg, and it was all so good! My father was a bit envious as he ordered the samphire, which was also fantastic, but he mentioned that the fish I had was the best he has ever eaten. On top of that, the cashier was so friendly that I completely forgot how to speak proper English! I would definitely give this place a 5/5.
The fish had a fantastic batter – dry and crispy, just as it should be, not soggy or wet like some places. Unfortunately, the chips were only average; some were really hard and inedible, but others were quite good.
