Bidra med feedbackA cool banquet burger house tavern. The place is homey and has private play rooms people can rent. There are few windows and various local beers on tap and bottle. This place is a dive but cool place to hang for locals and other Milwaukie residents. There are also many bars nearby where one can walk and get tanked.
Love this place. It's divey and unpretentious, which is great in my book. The food is simply phenomenal. We've been there several times, first for a beer and a burger (ordered a Ragin' Cajun and Black and Blue, both were to die for), and then for Fish Fry. Besides the traditional cod, they serve perch, walleye and grouper all cooked to perfection. Grouper comes with a potato medley, which is a mix of potatoes and veggies, and that is definitely a favorite. All Fish Fry dinners also have a choice of soup or salad. I plan to try every single thing on the menu eventually. Very friendly staff, and they allow dogs on the patio
Forgot to add that if you become friends with them on facebook- they are always posting right now specials. Like.. show this post to the bartender to get 1/2 off a pitcher of beer That is also where the post about the additions to their menus and specials.

I didn't know when I walked into this West Allis dive bar for a burger that they were voted best burger, #7 of 57 on the 2016 list. Well it's not #1 but 7 out of 57 is not bad so it's up on the list. They are known for the stuffed burgers by the way. The place is a total West Allis dive so I didn't know I was getting into, I will post pictures. The place is small with a bar shaped like a check mark and some high tables and chairs opposite of the bar. Flat screens on every wall with a pool table in back and an ATM inside. Looks like they have fresh popcorn because there is a machine in the coroner. I got there at opening and there was only two people at the bar who were nice to me as a non regular. I sat at the high table as you walk in and tried to read the menu but it was so dim I had to move to the bar to read it better because it had overheard lights. I didn't want to eat at the bar and since my table was so dim I got take out because my pictures would have been poor quality. The woman behind the bar took my order which was the All American and asked how did I want it cooked and I told her I like my burgers rare but I understand the concept of the burger and I could not get it rare, she said she understood and agreed but she said she would get it close and still melt the cheese in the middle. She said she only uses fresh Angus beef and hand forms the patty so no patties lay around and assured me that I would like it. The All American is a half pound burger with American cheese stuffed in the middle with lettuce, onion and tomato. The burger was good and she did a great job at cooking the beef because it was like medium and the cheese center was melted. The onions were red which was a nice touch. The bun was nicely toasted and the good soft one, not the dry dense hard kind. It came with tatter tots which were you're standard frozen and unseasoned. Overall for a West Allis dive bar they are definitely doing burgers different from most places. I liked that she understood how I like my burgers and how she cooked it as close to my liking with out compromising there style of burger, some places just give you lip service and cook the meat to well. It's nice to have a dive bar doing everything good on a first experience and making a great first impression.
