Golden Village - Milton-Freewater

Went inside to place a to-go order and asked for the All Time favorite combination. It’s advertised on the menu as coming with egg drop or hot and sour soup. When I ordered the hot and sour the waitress said that’s dine in only, I said I don’t see that in that section that it’s dine in only, she said the menu is not up to date. So I said I’d take the egg flower soup instead and then she said that the combinations no longer come with soup. Which is not listed on the menu. 10/10 would not recommend.

I ordered the roast pork fried rice and the beef lo mein. This was the most bland Chinese food I've ever tasted. There was ZERO FLAVOR, no salt, no spice, no garlic or ginger or oyster sauce. NOTHING to give this food flavor. They didn't offer a small or large option, whatever you see on the menu is one price and one size available. The roast pork fried rice literally was mushy rice with microscopic bits of pork. I LITERALLY threw the food in the garbage. $26 which is a ridiculous price for just these 2 items down the drain.

It has been awhile since we last visited here. It was just as good as we remembered. And the wait staff was fun and very pleasant! Will return much sooner next time!
