Bidra med feedbackDrive a gravel road to the back of the forest to a cozy cabin on the shores of a gator infested lake for some good seafood. We really thought we were lost when we followed the GPS direction. But it was a pleasant surprise. While we waited for 30 minutes on our table, we went to the lake to see some gators looking at us. There were many and the sound they made was creepy. When we sat at our table, we could also watch the gators from the large terrace windows overlooking the lake. My Hubby and I shared a crab appetiser, seafood and dessert. Never had Mullet, but it tasted like Wels. The colleague was the only thing we didn't like. It was dry and bitterly tasting. The back of the menu tells the story of how the Restuarant was founded and that it belonged to family and was operated by family and friends. We found the prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend this place. But go in summer because this is the only time they are open.
I have been lucky to enjoy the best seafood to not mention the only one of a kind of Hush puppies I love or even eat every 44 years of my life from my uncle's restaurant, which I certainly lack late. So if you go down hwy 87 to your holiday destination on the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast, make it a point to stop and get a taste of real southern seafood at Gator's Seafood, before you are surrounded by the commercial industry of good seafood yes, but only Gator's Seafood is the best!
Great memories tonight with friends. Excellent food! Great service and great atmosphere.
It was amazing, we had an hour long wait but it was well worth it. We weren't crowded, and the staff is family. So when they say family owned and operated they mean it. They are only open for a few months though. But all the seafood was fresh, you could taste the difference. They definitely made a lifetime customer!
Great food service ! Definitely worth a try!
