Im Strandhotel Marchetti - Millstatt

We had a few dinners in this restaurant right at the ship station at Millstatter See. It is wonderful to sit in a warm weather on the water. The menu offers enough meals to choose from. We tried the fish, salads and also pasta and the meal was always good. My husband likes the beer here more than in other local restaurants. The service staff was friendly and nice, only sometimes we had to wait a bit longer than the restaurant was crowded. Prices are reasonable.

In a lakeside, which has been a construction site for years, this is a surviving remnant of the old Millstatt and the old style hospitality. We found the staff welcoming and the service somewhat slow, but generally very good. Food was excellent. The location is perfect even though the terrace is full. We ate inside with a great view and as soon as a table was released at the lakeside, the staff invited us to move. We were very happy where we were, but it was a nice gesture of attentive and hospitable management and staff.

Service was too! We were here a few years ago and was asked to give them a top brand as they were so impressed! I can only comment on how good it was when we visited 2006, but we were more impressed by Strandhotel Marchetti and the family that lead it as any other hotel in this world! Do you know any hotel where you sent a Christmas card for a few years? Top marks!

We were quite happy where we were but it was a nice gesture from an attentive and hospitable management and staff.
