Fauchère - Milford

Very pleasant experience for my man's birthday celebration. We enjoyed an evening dinner on the front porch. The table was intimate...chair comfy...beautiful atmosphere...on a wonderful summer evening. We enjoyed great coffee, german quality beers, a most superb potato and leek soup, steaks that were so tender they cut like butter along w a homemade steak sauce, bone marrow( our dogs loved the large bones)ha! Also, a nice combo of carrots, zucchini, and cheese crusted sliced potatos, the best creme de brulee, and a divine apple based dessert. Our 2 servers...were very nice...but it was busy...so there were long lapses ...and that was a small frustration....waiting at times. The hotel itself was lovely...well over 120 years in design....beautiful every part from cozy sitting areas to chat with other guests...to the amazing rooms....that were peaceful in decore...great beds...and beautiful large showers...chair height toliets..cheerful white marble walls...clean and perfect. We plan to return...and enjoy another fine romantic memory at this very special and wonderful Hotel Fauchere. Milford itself is a very quaint town with many boutique type stores....and waterfall areas not too far off.

We just came from dining at the Fauchere, the Bar Louis. When making the reservation, we were not given a definite reservation and was told that I would receive a text to confirm our reservations . They never did. The food was awful we had duck and what was a batter dipped bok choy that was deep fried unseasoned . Yuk. We waited 1!hour for our entré. While waiting we were brought stale bread but nicely cut into triangles. The dessert was good. The service staff was very nice and efficient . The waitress informed us before we ordered that they were going to change the menu to French Cuisine in 2 weeks. Hopefully with a new Chef. This was our 29th wedding anniversary dinner. I now have an upset stomach. $170+ total.

Great service and charming atmosphere. Nice variety (meat, vegetarian with a couple of delicious vegan options). A bit pricey but worth it. Walkability: Right in the heart of Milford. Charming location. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Romantic, Quiet
