Toro Ramen - Midvale

I loveeeee the ramen. I always get the short rib with the mixed broth and it is *chefs kiss*

Nope. Absolutely horrible. Got the Toro ramen w tonkotsu broth, w wavy noodles. When the server placed the bowl on the table, I could smell the meat, not in a good way. It had a funky smell, like a funky tripe smell. It tasted burnt, like it had artificial smoke flavor added, the fat was not rendered and was gooey, not the delicious fat you want on meat. I literally spit the meat into my napkin. The broth was not good, it tasted starchy/gummy and smoky. The noodles were al dente but gummy at the same time. The one star is for the playboy roll, it was good but the mayo was bland and too much of it. They gave me a dried up lemon for my soda. My friend had the exact same issues w her meal as well. We only ate a few bites of our ramen bc it was incredibly bad. Very disappointed bc this place had good reviews.

The food was not thrilling. It has such a high rating that I was really hoping it would be better than JINYA but it was .... Bland? It just didn't have that much flavor in the meat lovers. I also have never finished a bowl of ramen before but here, they give you a huge bowl of broth with maybe a little bit of noodles, a few junks of meat, and mild toppings. I don't think there was any veggies at all in there. The saving grace was the karaage, it was fantastic. Overall though, for 16$ it was a small amount of food, bland broth, and just disappointing.

We had a great experience!! We got the Tarzan sushi roll, Toro ramen with thick noodles and the Blend broth, and the Meat Lovers ramen with thin noodles and Tonkotsu broth. All of it tasted great and there was plenty of it!! The sushi was obviously fresh. The broth on both of our ramens was delicious and flavorful. The noodles were a perfect consistency. Service was awesome as well. Both the servers working today were super sweet and attentive. We will definitely be back!!

Love the food here the ramen is so good and I love the steamed buns. Ethan was my server and he was very kind and helpful.
