Bidra med feedbackThis is my favorite Thai spot in Utah county. It's unassuming from the outside and resembles an old village inn diner type place but, the food and staff on the inside are authentic and amazing!! We always get the Tom kha gai to start off the meal and use it as an appetizer for the table. The broth is a savory coconut flavor. We like to order dishes to share with the table so we tried the yellow curry at a level 1 spice (even if you like spicy food, I wouldn't recommend ordering anything above a 1 on spice if you want to enjoy your meal. we also tried the Thai fried rice at a level 1 spice, the cashew stir fry, the Thai basil stir fry, the Kow soi curry (the table favorite , and pad see ew with beef. There is a friendly middle aged man who has been the server there for years. He knows the menu like the back of his hand and has great recommendations when you want to try something new. Parking is never an issue, they have plenty of on site spots. Sorry for no pictures we ate everything before I could even remember to take out my phone!
Chabaar is my favorite Thai place in the Salt Lake City area. The food has always been good and never let me down. I tried the chicken satay as an appetizer it was really good. For main course I got the massaman chicken curry pot pie, heat level two. I LOVE the curry pot pie! You will have to wait a little longer because they have to bake it, but it's worth the wait. I have had it a couple different times and have never been disappointed. The service has always been good and ambiance is casual and friendly. If you are in the Midvale/Salt Lake City area I definitely suggest trying Chabaar.
Had a great experience yesterday with my none for lunch. We shared the Saigon salad to start and then both had their beef pho. I am pretty loyal to another pho restaurant, but I'm in love with the broth. It's so different than anything I've tasted before. Dennis is a very attentive server. Thank you! I will be back tomorrow. Lol
Heard great things about this place, so maybe I caught them on a bad night. The orange chicken is all batter, and fried to the point of not being able to eat it. The pad Thai is watered down chicken and soggy noodles with no flavor, I can't even force myself to eat it. The massaman curry had a weird burnt after taste. For the price, I was expecting a lot better.
If the place is busy, you'll wait a long while for your food. And because it's busy, you may not get everything you ordered. The food is always delicious. We had 6 people with us, everyone got something different, and it was all equally good. We like that there's specialty teas and kombucha options, too.
