This is the best Chinese place where I was in Middletown, as well as one of the better restaurants in total. The menu is beautiful and varied, even offers some Japanese and Thai style options. The service was always great, but I never ate in the restaurant, I always have takeout. I have no real complaints. But I can say that I had Chinese food that was just as good as this or even better for less money and larger portions, even though it wasn't even in Delaware. So if you're a local, this place can't be beaten.

Fresh Chinese food that doesn't disappoint. You can tell that the food is cooked fresh and the owner is very sweet. I love the garlic sauce! Definitely a step above the average Chinese take-out place.

We went to the Golden Rooster for the first time today. We both ordered lunch special $8.25) The food was excellent and you have a lot of it for the price. Hot and acid soup was excellent and spicy. The shrimp roller was perfectly crispy on the outside and the filling was delicious and tasteful. My general chicken was as good as I ever had and my ess companion enjoyed his padthai shrimps. We live in Newark and it was just about a 25-minute drive worth the trip. We will definitely return!
