De Filippis Bakery - Middletown

What a wonderful experience! There were so many delicious options to choose from, all freshly baked on site. We ended up getting a small tiramisu, a baba rhum, and 2 cheese danishes. My personal favorite was the baba rhum, while my husband couldn't get enough of the danishes. He even mentioned that it was the first bakery he found since moving from Queens that was on par with a New York City bakery.

I have been going to this bakery since high school. I make the drive from Atlanta at least once a year just to come home and enjoy their amazing pastries. It's the best bakery ever!

My family has been purchasing breads and cakes from this bakery for years. We used to be proud of the fresh and delicious bread we could find in town. Unfortunately, the quality and freshness of the bread, cookies, and cakes have declined. We are sorry for the previous family that owned the business. It would be better if they removed their last name from the business. We hope that a new, good bakery will open in this area soon.

4 years ago I gave this bakery 5 stars. After today 's visit I had to change it. The service was horrible. I walked in and there were 3 workers behind the counter. Not one looked at me. The one girl is counting the tips, tbe other one was receiving a back massage from one of the workers on male workers from the back and the other one just had a resting b face. After a few minutes I was enlightened with what do you want i assumed she meant my order, sIo ordered my cookies. Instead if giving me the ones in the widow, she went and got the from another part if the store. The cookies were over priced and very dry. These are not the original owners, and you can definitely tell the difference both in service and quality of product. Was not tgood experience all the way around

We have always used this bakery. Be ware. They were taken over by new owners. The staff has no clue what they’re doing. The cakeLooked nothing at all like the one I provided which was a simple design. I’ll post both the pic I wanted and what I got later. The cake was also STALE!!
