Abyssinian Ethiopian - Middletown

We come here as often we can! It's been closed the last several weeks due to family emergency and we miss coming here a lot. Hope they will reopen soon.

Wife I ordered seperate different meals. I was asked if I wanted mine Traditional so 1st time in Ethiopian restaurant I said yes. I was served in a big round metal dish and started eating till I finished and my wife 's dish never came. We asked about her dish and they explained that Traditional was all on 1 plate so she did not eat. We were a little embarrassed to question what had happened.

Very tasty Ethiopian food and nice staff. We had the veggie sambusas to start and the vegan combo lentils, chickpeas, greens, cabbage, potatoes, perfect injera. It was very flavorful and spiced but not too spicy, delicious. We will definitely be back!

Hey, do you have plans at another restaurant tonight? Throw those plans into the garbage. Come to this restaurant instead. Not that I've ever had bad Ethiopian food, but this place stands out me as a shining example of perfectly savory, perfectly prepared Ethiopian cuisine. Unpretentious but delicious.

A fantastic restaurant! The service is wonderful and friendly, the seating is comfortable, the restaurant is well decorated. The food is incredible and comes on beautiful platters with large servings (get the Gored Gored). Couldn't recommend more!
