Bidra med feedbackThe Maplewood 3 has been our “go to place”. For years. We have enjoyed many family gatherings there. The food and choices are excellent and consistent. Servers are always pleasant and well trained. It is a place that feels comfortable and welcoming. Don't hesitate to treat yourself to a wonderful meal here. YUM!
Overall wonderful meal. The drinks were delicious. I highly recommend the lobster bisque. I had the gnocchi and my husband had the lasagna. Both were very good. Will be dining there again!
Had a birthday rezzy for 4 with friends. Got there on time, main dining room was half empty but hostess tried to seat us in an empty room across the way. I asked if we could sit in the main dining area as we had a rezzy and she said she would check and we could wait at the bar. Okay.......thought we would have a nice glass of wine to unwind......hardly any good choices here. If you are someone who enjoys a really good glass of wine, this is not the place for you. Our friends arrived to the bar and wanted to know why we weren 't seated yet with so many open tables.......finally had to ask to be seated and a different hostess led us to a table in the corner by the bathrooms. I asked if we could have one of the many empty 4 tops in the main area and she said she would have to check we decided to just sit there bc we were on a time crunch with tickets to a show at a local theater. There was some type of bump out by my seat so the server had to keep leaning over me to put things on the table. Server was nice enough, bread was good, app of 3 small fried oysters unexpectedly good. A family style bowl of wilted salad was brought out, we each picked a few bites. My husband ordered a wild salmon special, it was overcooked and dry. He ate it bc we did not have time to be sending food back and waiting. My friend and I each had a small shrimp plate with homemade pasta. My shrimp was not cooked all the way, I ate only one of the three. Pasta wasn 't bad. We both thought our meals were eh......our other friend had the veal parm and said it was good. When we left around 7:20 there were still many open 4 tops in middle dining area so we were not sure what the problem was with the seating. The decor of the place was not overly appealing, needs some major updates IMO. We enjoy going to shows at the nearby theater, however, we all agreed we would not come here again. Prices were high end of moderate and overall, we all thought that this place could do a lot better.
We love dining at the Maplewood because of their delicious meals and excellent service. It's wonderful to know that there's a place like this that believes in upholding standards that encourage us to return at every opportunity.
Absolutely perfect dinner. Again. We had their pan fried crabcake and eggplant parm with spinach, a daily special on this day. The house salad, the warm bread served with a pepper relish, our dinner and sides could not have been any more delicious. The Maplewood never disappoints!
