It's wonderful to discover a cozy pub tucked away from the crowds that offers a delicious lunch on a Monday. Located close to the Bluebell Railway, Sheffield Park, and Wakehurst, it's a perfect spot to enjoy a meal after exploring the area.
I attended our work Christmas lunch and was very disappointed in the main course. The turkey served was just a turkey roll without any bread sauce or cranberry sauce. The only vegetables offered were kale and carrots, missing the traditional sprouts.
Traditional Sussex pub in a rural location. Really excellent food and good atmosphere. Would definitely recommend
Fantastic Nut Roast! It is so hard to get a Nut Roast. And to get a delicious one is extremely hard. I am usually offered pasta as a vegetarian option for Sunday lunch in a lot of pubs. So thank you for providing a gorgeous Nut Roast. Quality ingredients very well cooked.
