Duneland Beach Inn - Michigan City

The dinner was reserved by them, but the restaurant was closed!

For reservation and restaurant has been closed. there was a note on the door, which said sorry that we take a break, will return on 16th september. I was not contacted by the restaurant at all. that was a great jubilee dinner and we drove an hour for nothing. I called and send them without answering how the changes can make. it was a Saturday night, we called to all other fine restaurants to say that they were booked. had to settle for a small restauraunt. So we eat at a low end restaurant dressed in suit and she a dress. eating was really bad. read all reviews about this place. not go!

I will begin by saying that the gas house is beautiful and the ambiente is beautiful. we were thrilled to try this for a date night! we sat on the terrace on a beautiful autumn night. our server appeared new in the industry, but no big thing that everyone needs to learn. we are tolerant people and patients. Drinks and eat quickly no problems there. there were only about 8 more tables sitting at the late evening. the keilsalat and the french wobbly soup were good, not great. my man got the healbutt special, he thought it had very little taste and overcooked. I have the Canadian white fish, better taste, but a little carved. we will give it a further attempt, although we loved the situation and atmosphere.

A reluctant return visit after swearing off the place for surly bar service and mediocre food. New team is in place and they are doing a great job. Matthew our server shared his commitment to make the place great again and we believe. Definitely on the right track. We will return happily.
