Bidra med feedbackAwesome awesome awesome! Finally got to eat here after hearing about it for a while...the food was delicious. Chef Jerry is so welcoming and the care he puts into the food can be tasted. There are so many healthy options on the menu it's hard to decide what to eat! (Make sure you try the pumpkin soup though. Prices are fantastic for Miami eating, and you'll leave stuffed. If you are vegan or vegetarian, skip the whole foods salad bar and eat at KC instead!
KC's is located on Biscayne Blvd. adjacent to the big 11900 Biscayne Blvd building. Placards direct you to it's walkway or you might miss it. It is it's sixth year at this location, so business must be good, and as a first-timer myself, I can see why. They have a lot of vegan friendly dishes, and keep the meats at chicken, fish, and turkey breast. You will be greated and personally served by Chef Dominique, a very engaging person that you can tell is passionate about what he does. The food came out in a very reasonable time and was excellent. If you love Banana Bread, ask the Chef to put it aside for you because it goes fast. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is pleasant. Meal plans are also available. Be sure to check it out!
This restaurant is not entirely vegan, but close to it as the owner and cook is vegan. I discovered this hidden gem within the complex structure of an office building on Biscayne Boulevard. It may not be the most common location for a restaurant, but once inside, I realized that there was another healthy option nearby, in addition to Whole Foods. I perused the extensive menu and the cook kindly offered me a sample of his famous vegan pumpkin soup. It was delicious and a thoughtful touch for a new customer. He mentioned that he could prepare any vegan dish on the menu upon request, which was great to hear. After much deliberation, I decided to order the soba noodles with grilled tofu for $9.99. It was packed with flavor and topped with a variety of crispy vegetables. The portion size was perfect. To end my meal on a sweet note, I enjoyed a coconut vegan cake that was absolutely delicious. What set this experience apart was the incredibly friendly staff, something that is becoming increasingly rare. I will definitely be returning soon.
