Sofia Design District - Miami Beach

My new favourite in south beach. Food service and atmosphere outstanding

The pasta is excellent. We have been there a few times. The reason I gave the food value a fair star is because we ordered the seafood tower for 2 at $140. The menu said it has stone crab, oysters, and etc. When the plate came, it had 6 oysters, 4 shrimps, a few pieces of tuna and a few pieces of lobster. We asked the server where is the stone crab, he said we are out of stock. If we were told upfront, we will not order it. We felt uncomfortable with this situation however we remained happy and polite. Because of that reason, we will go not go back to Sofia.

So delicious! I love the pasta there. I will always recommend Sofia to friends.

I showed up and didn’t get attended for 30 minutes and I’ve eaten here one other time, and I know my orders because it’s the same in every place that has pasta, and it’s anything with Alfredo sauce, this time the waiter gets to me and says there isn’t any, and walked away and didn’t come back for another 30 minutes, then a different waiter walks by with fettuccine Alfredo, so I went and asked him, and of course he said they had it, so then I went to lady that led us to our table and brought this all to her, just for her to go and ask the first dude and get the same answer of, no there is no Alfredo sauce, very poor service from a restaurant in this location.

The food was decent but nothing special. Expensive for what it was.
