La Pinte Du Vieux Manoir - Meyriez

Adjacent to the premises of the luxury boutique hotel Le Vieux Manoir (The Old Mansion is the common people 's restaurant La Pinte. It is located in what used to be the mansion 's garage and is fenced off from the hotel 's park. La Pinte is under the same management as Le Vieux Manoir but aims at a different, not as affluent clientele. It is a restaurant and garden lounge, not a hotel. La Pinte is a good place to get a taste of the luxurious life of the neighboring Le Vieux Manoir. You can sit in the La Pinte 's garden and discreetly peek at the well off who stay at the other side of the fence.Food and service in La Pinte used to be on par with Le Vieux Manoir, for a more affordable price although it is still no bargain. After having been occasional visitors we were gravely disappointed upon our last visit on the occasion of my birthday. Food was mediocre: starters and dessert were very good (fantastic chocolate cake! but the main corse was gravely disappointing. The fish was severely overcooked, hard and dry, and the sides were served cold. Our complaint was answered with a condescending remark, and no move was made to remedy the situation. Ruined the birthday, will need some time before I give it another chance.

Beautiful ambience with excellent food. Very friendly service. This is how I imagine hospitality. Recommended for everyone/woman.

Original cuisine, it's very expensive for what you get on the plate, excellent starter but more of an appetizer, too bad I'm disappointed and I won't come back!! Be careful, people are ready to pay but not for that!!
