Bidra med feedbackI was told that mexicali was famous for his Chinese cuisine. we said this restaurant was the best. in the did was eating excellent and plentiful in this restaurant. the menu was very large with many options that packages with a lot of options. to select. the portions were great. the personal was friendly. had a great time. she visited twice in two days.
I've been to other chinese places in Mexicali, but this is the best by far(though I heard that the owner has other chinese restaurants). I have to say, it reminded me A LOT to PF changs. We had the lettuce wraps, orange chicken, house rice...and the squid with asparagus. It was sooo good, a little salty and greasy but it was well worth it. The cookies were very tasty too.
So, even tho I rave about the Mexicali Chinese food, I am giving this restaurant 3 stars because it is average for the area. Conveniently located, typical decor, reasonable prices, attentive wait staff. The food is good and you get a LOT...I mean a LOT!!...(One entree is enough for 2 people) If you like bean sprouts, order the Chop Suey, it's loaded. The pollo mongo is like kung pao chicken but not as spicy. They do have a limited bar. My knock is the noise...it is a very large room with lots of hard surfaces and is always crowded so it is quite noisy. (We were there with about 40 other patrons, 2 children...and all 3 tv sets were tuned to Bob Spongepants...go figure). We've tried quite a few Chinese restaurants in Mexicali and this is one of the ones we like. (It is quite near Hotel Araiza and the Lucerna you can walk read my hotel reviews too if you are spending the night)
Many attention here with an excellent personal. they took the time to go over the menu where pictures were not available. the adult drinks can use some tutorials, nothing special. Both were pleasant in the evening and breakfast buffet.
Last Sunday. the restaurant was full as it seems that many people in mexicali like to eat Chinese on Sundays. the restaurant has a large dining room with many tables. we were immediately visited by a Chinese waiter who has spoken almost no Spanish, but with a great order to help. we ordered roasted ducks and asparagus with garnel. beer and wein were available. the food and the service were very good, and so were the prices. the restaurant has a large parking space that costs 10 pesos for unlimited time.
