Bidra med feedbackSa in the bar, directly opposite, we were looking for a place to eat, and saw that the reviews here were not bad, so there was a jump. steak wetare was on my list the dinge for a dae, so ordered this. my partner ordered the burger. pleasantly surprised when both with a part of chips and an salate (unexpected in view of the price of the meal.) the tartaric acid was very good, and had a beautiful spice that was missing everything was a raw egg yolk. the burger was also good and my partner enjoyed it. with a beautiful glass of wine. would be happy back and try other elements from the menu.
Very nice outdoor lunch in the square. Our friendly waiter even offered us the sunniest table as it’s still a bit chilly. We had foie gras and two salads: warm goat cheese and Thai beef. The goat cheese was whipped before warming on toast and...it was lovely. The foie gras was a nice thick serving served with an apple chutney. Nothing was quite wow with every bite, but it was tasty, solid food with great service and lovely atmosphere.
We had dinner there on a busy Saturday, very close to the ending. Even if the place was crowdy (like any other restaurant that night), we have been lucky enough to be seating very quickly on the outside terrasse by a busy and friendly waitress....The restaurant offers typical food and drinks from est of France. We have been look after very well, served in a reasonnable amount of time, our waitress always had a word for us as she walk-pass. Food was great and the bill was fair.
We had the Plat du jour which Salade Vosgienne. One would have been sufficient for two people. The service in what was a busy tourist trap type area was impeccable. If you only have one quick meal in Metz this bistrot is to be highly...recommended.
Visiting Enfin with family to show them some hidden culinary gems in Metz. We should have known booking a table at 7pm on a Saturday in the middle of summer would mean a very busy restaurant... At Enfin they have a great menu of local...dishes with a modern touch, as well as your typical burger or pasta dish. With other words, something to please everyone. The veggie burger is an amazing creation, as well as the spätzle gratin and choucroute meat-dish, very much recommended. However the service is another story. We got there in time, to a half-full restaurant and got our drinks fairly fast. Then everything came spiraling down, as the place slowly filled up. It was extremely hard to get the attention of the waiters who seemed more eager to look for new guests at the back of the outside-seated area than to serve the ones with a reservation. After an eternity trying to reach out to the ignorant waiters we got to order our dishes, and after another, the lovely food showed up, but it took another 1/2h to receive a beer after it was ordered after having pointed it out several times and we didn't bother to order another. The staff just seemed to be running back and forth like a bunch of dizzy hens with a feeling of not knowing who was waiting which tables. It was a very stressful evening and for their own good they sure need to get organized! I feel so sorry for the table next to us, with two small kids, who had to wait for 1/2h just to order drinks....The food is really awesome! But I'm not sure spending almost 3h on just drinks and main courses is worth it. Unless you wanna spend lots of time waiting or if you enjoy watching stressed out staff running around ignoring you. I'll go back in the winter to see if they're as stressed then.
