Bidra med feedbackHave you ever thought of having your own restaurant? I like pasta and making sure I get the right amount of cheese whenever I get them. Pastaroni offers pizzas and pasta with different kinds of pasta, sauces and priced reasonably. I've been here a few times and recommending this to everyone!
Tucked away in a parking buliding, you get that feeling you've found the Yamashita's Gold of Italian food in BGC. The dining experience begins with: Mushroom Soup (2/5) It's the most watered-down soup I've ever encountered in a restaurant. It's nearly tasteless too. I get hints of mushroom soup -- but the kind you get from a can. Wild Mushroom Linguini (2.5/5) Even the sauce on this is watered-down; just settling at the bottom of the plate. It's basically the soup I just had + linguini. Puttanesca (2/5) Salty. Just way too salty, nobody in my group had the (iron) tongue to finish it. I heard great reviews about the place, but I was let down by my first visit. The only thing enjoyable to the palate might be the Carmen's Best ice cream they also sell here. I'll revisit some other day and hope for the best.
Inconsistently good, is the rating that I would give to Pastaroni. They hit the notes on some marks and misses on some of the others. The service was excellent we didnt have to wait that long to get our hearts fill of their Italian food. I had cheesy broccoli soup for starters, it was good but it didnt have the tangy taste of cheese in the soup, I had to add salt and pepper for it to have the flavor I wanted. The Oil based clam pasta was perhaps the best dish I had, the pasta was aldente, it wasnt overly drenches with oil which shouldve made it greasy, yet it hit the right notes giving off the right hits of garlic, olive and truffle oil. It was light and very tasty. The chicken florentine was a mess, it was like drenching boiled chicken with mornay cheese sauce, the chicken was very bland and didnt have any inherent flavors in it. The 4 cheese pizza was good enough it was thin and very crispy to the point I thought I was eating toasted garlic bread. They just had to make sure the ricotta cheese was evenly spread because its the ingredient that gives character to the dish. Overall with its price range, it is a decent place to have an italian dinner though not an exceptional one.

The pastas were decent, pizza nothing special about, The place is hidden and the entrance is in the parking lot.. for folks working and leaving in the area its fine but for those who are from BGC its going to be a challenge. If you request for pamersan cheese you have to pay extra.
