Tofu con Lechon was dull when served and I had to tell the service crew that something was wrong with how they served it. They brought it back 'correctly dressed' but the tofu and 'lechon' was nowhere close to the usual well-fried dish. Then came the all-day breakfast bangus dish - sunny side up egg not done well. My wife's pancit luglug did not taste as usual and the noodles, broken. The place was full but, as I always say, during tough times, this is when you see how truly good one is; in this case, this restaurant - - - but not this time for this branch of Max's. Watch out! ...especially when you see the restaurant packed or starting to get packed with people. To Max's, franchised or not, consistency is key... Sorry, with us coming in hungry and looking forward to the usual satisfying meal at Max's, this certainly changed quite a bit of our interest. Note: this is not the branch at Bonifacio Stopover.

This is my favorite Max's Restaurant branch because it is less crowded, quieter, and cleaner. They have polite waiters, too. Their famous fried chicken is really sarap-to-the-bone. Just add a bit of banana ketchup to it. We always have the pancit canton, fresh lumpiang ubod, and bottomless sago't gulaman.
A week does not pass that I do not have lunch here. For 250 pesos you'll get half spring chicken and fried rice. The half chicken serving is more than enough to satiate your fried chicken cravings.
Max's has a wide variety of dishes on their menu - most of them are good and some are not so good if your stomach cannot stand too much spice - the chicken is what madethem famous and it is very good - the tofu dishes are good - i always like bottomless drinks
