Bidra med feedbackWow! Amazing food and the people who work here are just the sweetest. Try their baked beans you won't regret it. Pulled pork is obviously on point! Don't ever judge a book by its cover..
Pork was to die for (better than Currituck BBQ pork in my humble opinion), and the sauces were better as well. My only complaint was that the mac and cheese needed something added to it- I wish it was creamier, cheesier... The cowboy beans were really amazing though, and the coleslaw was done in the classic Southern style- but if it ain't broke don't fix it.
These guys are the CAT 'S MEOW ; THE REAL DEAL ! Not only is the QUALITY OF THEIR FOODS beyond description; but I found their personalities and service to be impeccable. The owner noticed by Vietnam War cap and when I presented him with a poster of the history of my families ' (within 20 miles of each other in Ralegh/Garner), he offered to pay for my lunch. I was overwhelmed as I had rarely received such appreciation during the over 50 years since I returned to Raleigh from the battlefields of Vietnam; nor had the 20-plus other members of my family. Yet, HIS SINCERE show of appreciation for our service, was FAR from the BEST SURPRISE I had for that day. THAT privilege belongs to the FOOD; the PULL PORK BARBECUE, THE SLAW, THE MAC CHEESE, THE BANANA PUDDIN, etc. The combination of the hospitality at Chop Shop BBQ Grill and the FOOD they serve makes the effort to locate this tucked-away gold mine MORE THAN WORTHWHILE. One visit and YOU like me, will be hooked. The EXTERIOR may look like a MERE gas or service station; but to me, THIS TASTY DIVE IS WHAT RESTAURANTS are ALL ABOUT! QUALITY, TASTY FOOD, at a great price and GREAT HOSPITALITY!
Great food and super nice people. Bbq was delicious and had a fantastic flavor. Highly recommend.
Agree with the five stars. The pulled pork was perfectly smoked and pulled (not chopped).gas station location gives character, staff was great and knew their products very well. Good stop for BBQ Sides of Mac and cheese and potato salad were OK but the pork was the star. There r a couple of 2 seat tall tables inside and seating outside.
