Great selection of Italian dishes and wine list. We enjoyed the ravioli appetizer, lasagne, Paul's meatballs and tiramisu for dessert. My second time dining there and the wait staff is consistently attentive.
Fantastic experience. John is most definitely a professional server. He was spot on perfect. The food? Some of the most delectable substances to ever tantalize your tastebuds. I've got to give a personal nod to those meatballs. Do not m8ss those as a side dish. We also had the veal chop which was easily the best veal I've had. Love this little place.
Small, intimate, excellent service, excellent food. We are regulars. There is a reason why it is hard to get a reservation. It has been a Raleigh icon for years and the only place we go for Italian in Raleigh.
Great bread, drinks service. We had the best service by a gentleman that has been in the industry for over 20 years. The complimentary bread with oil was fresh and delicious. We had the lobster bisque which I wish had some pieces of lobster in it but it was good. I had the shrimp scallop pasta dish in a lemon sauce which was all cooked perfect but wasn’t for me. My GF had a stuffed chicken with spinach pasta dish and she wasn’t a fan either ended up having acid reflex. The alcoholic drinks were good and strong so we only needed one. Maybe it was the dishes we chose but I’ve had better at other restaurants. It’s a very small place so if you are claustrophobic it’s not for you. Best part was the bread, drinks and service. Give it a try at least once. I’m Italian and grew up in a Sicilian household with authentic Italian dishes so my taste is different. Maybe I only like my mom’s Italian cooking who is now deceased R.I.P.
