Bidra med feedbackBoyfriend and i went in a few months ago and it was AMAZING food. We had the fried rice and pisco sour. SO GOOD! Was craving it and called for a reservation tonight but i was told they are permanently closed. SAY IT AIN'T SO! I live close by, i'll have to check it out in the daytime and confirm if that's true :,
I was invited by some friends to try out this restaurant. It is a family-owned business that specializes in Peruvian cuisine. I enjoy supporting local establishments and trying new dishes, so I was excited to give it a try. We ordered a variety of dishes to taste and share among ourselves. My favorites were the Yuca Fries, Papa A La Huancaina, and Pollito A La Brasa. The Yuca Fries were especially delicious and addicting. As a fan of plantains from my time in Central America, I couldn't resist ordering a plate of those as well. We also tried the Ceviche De Pescado and a side of rice, both of which were excellent. The service was top-notch, with our server providing detailed explanations of each dish. We even had the opportunity to chat with the owner, who shared a couple of stories about the restaurant's history.
Great food at a good price. The staff was very friendly as well. If you haven't tried Peruvian food, I highly recommend it.
On November 13, 2022, I finally made it to Taste of Peru, despite living a long life since 1960. We visited the restaurant on a Sunday, so the drive was easy. The restaurant is clean, family-friendly, and the staff was fantastic. While the menu was somewhat limited, there were still plenty of options to choose from. We ordered a variety of dishes and were pleased with everything we tried. The Yuca Dorada with Huancaina sauce appetizer was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I enjoyed the Chaufa Trio, a fried rice dish with chicken, beef, and shrimp, which was well-seasoned and the meat was tender. The Pollo a la Brasa, jasmine rice, and plantains were also delicious, with the chicken remaining moist even the next day. The papa's rellana was excellent. For dessert, we had Tres Leches cake and Lucuma ice cream. The cake was good, although not as moist as expected, but the ice cream stole the show with its soft serve texture and creamy flavor. The trip from the west valley was worth it, and I am looking forward to returning.
I love Peruvian food and was so happy to see that there is a Peruvian restaurant so close to my house. I was a little hesitant going because I read a not so great review that had been posted just 3 hours before. I'm so glad I went because my experience was amazing. The restaurant was not super busy and was told to sit wherever I would like. Our server came over right away to greet us, give us the menu, and take our drink order. Our server was so pleasant and very attentive. She quickly came back with our drinks (we just ordered a coke and fanta). She also brought us roasted corn nuts with a dipping sauce which was good. My son is a foodie and very adventurous. For starters he ordered Anticuchos (beef heart skewers). I won't lie, I wasn't too excited about his choice. I was surprised and how tender and well seasoned the beef hearts were. For our entrees I ordered Lomo Saltado (my go to) and my son ordered Ceviche de Pescado. The Lomo Saltado was really good and flavorful. My son enjoyed his ceviche. The menu isn't extensive, but I want to go back and try their cocktails and dessert. I truly enjoyed my food and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend going here.
