Waldgaststätte Friedenau - Mering

We have been there with a group of 12 people. The restaurant is located in the agricultural area, very quiet and away from the road. The service in the restaurant was extremaly friendly, very patient and attentive. You really can not ask for much more. The staff speaks English which is not common in this part of Bavaria. The food however was rather mediocre. The choice is small, so you'd expect they make it to perfection, but most meat dishes were overcooked and dry. The ice cream deserts were good. The prices are reasonable and the restaurant is very cozy and has a relaxed, families oriented atmosphere. Kids are wellcome. Overall, they need to really work on the food though dishes are simple, they are far away from excellence.

General A very cozy and very clean restaurant, after changing the night. We were very kindly greeted and laid on our table! The service was super friendly and we felt very comfortable. Again! Operation Very friendly and beautifully dressed services. The service is up, here the guest is still king.... We were advised and quickly had our drinks. We haven't eaten so well for a long time. All dishes were freshly prepared. Here, too, the carving is still freshly knocked. The roast potatoes a dream! You can wait a little longer! A taste of eternity... As regards goodness, visual condition, etc., a foreposter reports here: I fully agree and can sign this blindly. My problem is that I arrived with the family on the last Sunday at 12:30 to meet neither a local visit nor a false service selection, we just wanted to eat. However, we had to carry a waiting period of one hour for a children's carving, Allgäuer cheese parrots and another standard dish. After all, we had puppies as table guests, so we couldn't. In the clear offer of foods whose preparation should not be really complicated, we were honestly quite upset by the waiting room (and the ladies in the side table thought loudly whether they should not order the afternoon coffee and cake, so that this will actually come about 5 pm). Qualitatively, I can't say anything about food, after all, all three dishes came almost at the same time. But late. Maybe I'm wrong with the Peaceau now. Maybe the cook had a bad day or was a short bath, maybe only one hotplate was active that knows. For me, however, neither the time of the day nor the crowd of guests was exceptional; that as a restaurant manager you can have a feeling for lunch, is embarrassing and people would like to eat in time as we double the kitchen staff would be my wish. Dear Friedenau, outing restaurant of my ancestors, you only see me as a cyclist, the drinks came at least fixed, if at all.

Today we have made our first (and last) journey to Friedenau. At the beginning we were satisfied with the restaurant, but when my son ordered an ice cream, he noticed that there were heavy pests on the ice wafer in the form of eggs or larvae. When we complained about it, we were treated very unfriendly and the ice was thrown into the garbage without replacement.

Thank you to the staff and the head of the Waldgaststätte Friedenau, for the always friendly service. I regularly go to dinner with friends or my family, just like today. The food tastes excellent, is beautifully dressed because the eye with ; and top price! The ambience is very cozy and the toilets clean. I'm going around here a lot, but I always want to go back to the forest restaurant. It has become a popular destination for me and my friends or family. Now in summer with the huge, quiet beer garden and through opening hours, I can come when I want, I am always kindly served. What I think is great what the restaurant offers. Day offers for dinner, evening regular dance parties with live music. I can only say that! But I want to say something else! The entry of 1.05.12: The farm Lidl ice cream that exists in the forest restaurant, we always eat after the main course. Or even if I look past the bike. For me/our personally, something like the above entry has never happened. Since I've eaten an ice cream more often, I know what I'm writing about. It tastes very good and there are many different varieties. There was never anything about pests or something on the waffle. Find it very sad what I had to read. I, for my part, like to come to Peaceau and can only recommend it to everyone.
