Bidra med feedbackFood: I have been here twice and both times I had the Burrito Picoso that has a mole sauce on it and damn it was good. It was so good the first visit I had to have it the 2nd time. So twice in 3 days. Service: Prompt. Pleasant. Friendly. Attentive. Ambiance: Not much. Typical Mexican restaurant decor and vibe. Seating is spread out enough to have good elbow room and light conversations. I was here in Cinco de Mayo and it was pretty loud but it was full. Tuesday evening nice and quiet.
INACCURATE online menu pricing. Chose Corona Village b/c online menu prices (at coronavillagemex.com) were reasonable. e.g. Chico (one item) at $7.50 (I checked on 12/2/23). Got to restaurant where the printed menu had Chico (one item) at $9.95. That's 33% more than expected! Found multiple other items that didn't match either. Felt like a bait and switch. Please, update your online menu. I paid more than expected. Food was good. Service was very good.
Was shocked that a 24 oz medelo was $19 Was not asked what size beer my bad Keg beer is cheap!
Stopped by here for a late dinner on a recommendation. We were the only diners, so parking was plentiful. The ambiance and decorations made me home sick as it reminded me of the Mexican restaurants in Old Town of San Diego, CA. This was the only tip off I needed to know that the food was going to be legit. The service was quick and friendly! There's complimentary tortilla chips with frijoles and salsa. We ordered a burrito (forgot the name) and carne asada nachos both of which were from their specials menu. Both dishes tasted delicious! I especially liked the carne asada as it was actually well seasoned, wasn't dry, and had a nice smoker flavor. The portions are huge likely enough for two people to share. There was also a complimentary dessert of two pieces of sopapillas (deep fried flour, syrup, and whip cream), so that was a pleasant surprise! Definitely recommend this if you're in the area!
Best carne asada in the valley! Charred to perfection every time, moist and addictive. The speedy platter is so wonderful but beware, it's a lot of food! I love the bacon wrapped prawns and homemade salsa. The service is always great and friendly. You must eat here!!
