Bidra med feedbackThis place was just ok. Food was not worth the price charged. Mediocre at best. Music was too loud to have a conversation and the temperature in the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. Staff was nice and attentive but that's really the only positive.
Had dinner in a private room with a large group from a conference. Dinner was served family style and everything was outstanding. Dinner was so good I had no room for desert which is RARE. I heard that the apple pie served was great. Service was outstanding as well.
We walked from our hotel to larimer swuare trying to find dinner for our last night. We checked out a few menus in the are, but this one caught our eye. The hostess was polite and informed us about the dining experience then asked for us to show our vaccination card and photo ID for verification. FYI I’m not sure if they allow unvaccinated folks into their restaurant. The hostess walked us downstairs through a corridor to the restaurant (mind you the restaurant is quite small with about 6-7 booths for seating, a small bar, the kitchen and that’s it. Cute and quaint. We sat in the corner booth and decided to share the brisket entree and order our own sides (mashed potatoes and a bleu cheese salad). The brisket was tender and well seasoned (and soooo good), as well as the potatoes and salad. We both were satisfied from what we had (we weren’t hungry hungry). While we dined we inquired about a cocktail space that had a similar name (Green Russell’s) which our server informed us was part of the restaurant but in a different section (they are connected) and said he’d add us to the list and give us a reservation there. We decided not to order drinks at the restaurant since we planned to go to the cocktail bar afterward. We finished our food and our server told us where to go for the cocktail bar which was out of the restaurant then to the right, where another hostess station was located. The hostess took us through another corridor through another bar section into the cocktail lounge…and WOW WHAT A SURPRISE!!!….we LOVED the vibe in there. It was dark but with amber lighting in the seating areas so you could see where you were going but the seating areas were somewhat dark allowing you and your party to have some sort of privacy (I don’t know if I’m explaining this well, but look at my photos. FYI I have the iPhone 12 which shows more brightness in dark places, so don’t be fooled by how “bright” it seems. The ambience was EVERYTHING!!! Anyways, we were seated at the bar, and our bartender was great. Told us the history of their lounge and was polite. My other half ordered a whiskey flight and I ordered the Smoke Daddy. Drinks were awesome and so were the vibes. We stayed for about 30 minutes to finish our drinks then headed out. All in all, DONT HESITATE!! GO NOW!!!!
Hard to find. Down the green stairs. Don’t tell anyone. Classic drinks made by pros. Sit at the bar and enjoy chatting up the bar man and watching the performance.
Took awhile to find the Wednesday’s Pie (absolutely no signage. Showed up and the door was locked even though the website said they were open. I called, and the manager answered, apparently they were having a staff meeting. Came back a few minutes later and asked for a slice of apple pie, when I got my receipt the total was nearly $10 as there were two different fees added. Took the slice home and was greeted by the most sub-par piece of pie ever. Don’t bother visiting this place.
