The Local Ny Style Pizzaria - Meriden

After being told about how good the pizza was and that it's made in house fresh, we were looking forward to it. It took a while to prepare, about 45 mins between ordering and receiving it. We ordered the tangy chicken pizza which comprises of buffalo chicken and a healthy dose of blue cheese dressing as stated on the menu but there wasn't any dressing on the pizza. There also wasn't much chicken on an 18 pizza. One slice had the tiniest piece of chicken on it

Soo many good reviews..what happened? My pie was a soggy, sloppy mess. I couldn't eat it. That's right, I couldn't eat my pizza. It was that bad.

Delicious, hot cheese pizza! Perfectly thin crust. The 12 meatball grinder with provolone was good but could have been better if there were a few more meatballs. Sadly, it was mostly grinder roll.

Just tried the meatball grinder- hands down the best meatball I’ve ever had. The owner told my husband that it’s his mothers recipe…and we’ll it lives up to a family recipe! So so so good! Will be back!!!

I am pizza picky and insist on a NY style pie, whereas my husband is easier to please. It has been difficult to find ONE place that makes us both happy. Until today. I had driven by Local NY pizza several times on my way home to Durham, and today I finally got to try it. I could not have been happier!!!! We BOTH loved it, they were cooked exactly how we like it (both different of course), and the owner even agreed to delivery even tho we were a smidge out of their delivery radius. I highly recommend and can't wait to try more menu items. Job well done ?
