Bidra med feedbackThis little dive looking hole in the wall serves the most unique seafood tacos in town. This ain't your regular fried fish tacos with pickled onion. They have a rotating variety of fish, shrimp, octopus, cod and some others I don't even know their names....You can trust the kitchen and the food. My advice is to just try them all, they are all so tasty. My favorite is the octopus, I have never had such tender octopus (in fact, most the pulpo in Merida is extremely tender), not chewy and so tasty. Look for that faded red Coke awning and enjoy the old photos on the wall.
I had three tacos: Lobster, Shrimp Squid. Also had a beer one was thrown in on the house. Everything was superb including the service. Everything was about 6-8 bucks.
The story goes that many years ago the Mexican President used to send out for Cangrejito tacos from Mexico City by fighter plane, and I would not doubt it! OK, if you want linen tablecloths and international food, go to the Hyatt or somewhere, this...isn`t for you! If, on the other hand, you want to eat some of the best Yucatecan tacos ever, be bravfe, enter and enjoy! The decor is eclectic, to say the least: a huge chandelier hangs from the bare concrete ceikling in the back room and photos of Pope John Paul II and picture of the virgin vie for space with photos of bull fighters and the owner with celebrities. A modest place, but CLEAN. As in most places in Merida, the cook never handles money, only the food. They offerings are chicharron (roast pork), bacalao, lobster, prawns, fish, bredded pork andn sometimes brain tacos, and that is all they serve: tacos, beer and fizzy drinks. No starters, no deserts, no salads. Tacos. But the best tacos I have ever had, and I`ve spent a while in Merida and tried everything. Well worth the visit. And bring a fan no aircon.
If I should write an evaluation every time I eat at this wonderful Taco place, tripadvisor would surely forbid me. it is really hard for me to be in mérida and not come here to eat at least once. everyone I've ever brought. Here's a fan. Just try it!
I have not set foot in mérida that for more than a year, and I was definitiw believed my favorite tacco place. once again, and as always, martins tacos are perfect. I wish I could go there a lot more often. I'm sorry I didn't post a new photo, the tacos took a second on the table.
