We ate in this restaurant with our two teenagers. the waiters were extremely arrogant. eating was of poor quality. it is an exceptionally high price, not in agreement with the quality. it is a scandal for italy. there are so many nice restaurants in the...Environment, we should better reflect reviews before they visit this place.
We booked a table overlooking the lake and had a lovely romantic evening watching the sun set whilst eating lovely seafood. Next time in Mergozzo we would visit again.
Mergozzo is a lovely lake. In case you ever come to Stresa or Verbania at Lago Maggiore, you should go and see Mergozzo. It is peaceful and beautiful. Due Palme is a hotel but it has a restaurant and that had seating just on the...water on a square peer covered with canvas. The restaurant has got reviews on Michelin guide, and for sure the food is excellent. I had ravioli filled with Pikeperch, the delicious lake fish we in Finland call it kuha That dush is not common, and it was very good. My husband had perch fillets. They are commonly served in all restaurants around Stresa. As my husband is lactose intolerant the fried the fish in oil rather than in butter, and he loked it. The desserts have lactose but I could choose the local dish that was not sweet but a bit like creme caramel but brown garnished with nuts and seeds (elm). There is a very old elm at the square, it is supposed to be planted in around 1630's, and it is tied up, it is hollow but still green.
