Popped in out of the cold, welcomed our dog too. Lovely warming coffees, hot chocolate and warm Welsh cakes. Games and colouring to keep the kids amused. Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly

A superb Sunday Lunch. Beers by local Rude Giant Brewery. Excellent service. Very pleasant surroundings. Close to A303 major road and not far from Stourhead Estate (National Trust). Very busy when visited. Booking essential. Slightly disappointed by time restriction on table. Ask if you want longer. Nearby activities: Close to Stourhead Estate (National Trust). Beautiful palladian house and superb grounds. The lake, in particular, is beautiful. Lots of countryside walks nearby with car parks dotted around the area. Alfred's Tower nearby (a folly) is also well worth a visit. It has its own car park. Food drinks: The Sunday Lunch was beautifully cooked and well presented. The meat had obviously been slow cooked and was very tender and tasty. Huge Yorkshire Puddings! Service: 5 Location: 5
