Bidra med feedbackFantastic French fries, a neat atmosphere, and friendly, if not easily available staff. Bottomless Mimosas and a neat **** Mary Bar are available. Another plus, it never seems too busy.
I feel that they are two different experiences on the islanders. The restaurant and the bar in the back. While most times go to the front, I did not notice any hosts on the podium to welcome us. We decide anyway and go directly to the restaurant in the back for the bar. We personally do not know if happy hours happen in the restaurant, but we like the TV 's and the atmosphere in the bar oh I mentioned happy hour!? Not many places on Mercer have good happy hours, but the Icelander knocks a dollar or so per item to really feel like it's worth it. The truffle friars are probably our whole time favorite where the pulled pork sandwich comes in the near second. All said, one thing is you have to say in The Islander. I can understand why people say that it takes forever for someone to serve as I am one of those people who will wait patiently forever. But how busy this place can get with a small staff and kitchen; Their best bet is to mark them down because they cannot always do their steps. To meet the small staff and kitchen food surprisingly fast. Even at its most packed times, 10 15 minutes max after ordering food.
Love this place! They were one of the few places where I went to INTO during the Kovid-19 as they were reopened. I always go to the back, mostly for their good hours. The menu has been revised in recent months. The tacos are. Tables are well spaced. People are responsible for masking.
