Steak 'n Shake - Mentor

Was horrible. the place smell bad, the floor was slippery like the hell, probably because it never changed the fat water from the kitchen. the hamburger was paper thin. the kerl came out to get the shells from the garbage container area and never cleaned the opposite that looked like a land fill. steak n shake should be ashamed of what they did on this site. it uses excellent with waiter who took care of her and burger, who they could see at least between the bungalow. never go there again, steak n shake should remove their names from the building from embarrassment.

Haven't been to this location in about 5 years. Last time I was there, it was a clean place, with helpful staff. Not so much anymore. Not only was my order incorrect, the place, especially the bathroom, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! Grease everywhere, no paper towels to dry your hands, and literally dried urine on the floors of the bathroom. Not to mention, the staff had their family and friends there, and my 7 year old daughter and I had to listen to them banter back and forth while we waited for and endured a sub par meal. I don't expect a 5 star experience at Steak and Shake, but I would expect at least some professionalism, and a clean place. Maybe if the manager wasn't out toking with her employees on their break, and before work, you would have the aforementioned amenities. To whomever is the franchise owner, you should probably just cut bait now, because this staff is worthless, and you're going to lose your business in the long run anways because of them.

What a dirty place and the food was garbage. It smells like the dirty men's room. Don't eat or drink anything from their. Management should be fired and the place should be closed until they clean it up. It's a reason why there was only 4 people eating there. It is like the truck driver's say if it's not busy something wrong with the place. I didn't follow the advice and now I'm out $50.00. Nobody could eat the food.Parking: Plenty parking nobody's patronizing this garage food.

Half of the seating area os closed. Washer rooms are dirty. How can I trust that the food os clean I don't knowFood: 4/5

Not sure if this has become the standard Steak n Shake experience, but it's kiosk-only ordering now for dining in. Still, burger, fries and shake were tasty as could be, though the paper straws offered didn't work all that well.
