Euclid Fish Company - Mentor

For Christmas 2021 I ordered the fried breaded calamari and the fried battered smelts. The calamari had so much breading on them you couldn't taste the calamari. And the smelts were so covered in a thick coating of batter that the only way to taste the smelts was to strip them of the batter. I suspect that Euclid Fish gets the calamari already breaded and frozen and the smelts already battered and frozen and all they do is throw them into the deep fryer. As is done in Italy, calamari and smelts they use fresh anchovies similar in size and taste to smelts) should be dredged in flour and then fried. Euclid Fish has great seafood but stay away from their fried calamari and smelts if they are breaded or battered.

We walked in and were told to wait while the woman ignored us for 10 minutes. She was extremely rude to us so we left. There was noone else in the market. It amazes me with inflation and the economy that some business just don't care.

The staff is really nice and the product is of great quality. I used their Kvaroy salmon for nigiri and it was extremely fresh and delicious! They also carry cubed ahi tuna for those interested in making tuna poke.

Wide selection and a great staff! The gentleman we purchased crab legs from gave us advice on how to cook them and they came out great. They carry everything with prices that won’t be beat. Definitely gained a customer!

I messed up and drove 45 minutes and arrive 45 minutes before they open but their customer service was so kind they brought my order out to me, thank you for excellent customer service!
