Bidra med feedbackWe went fo sea food platters which are Eur 30 in two versions, one with lobster and one with oysters. Of course, you can build your own platter as well. The house Cote de Provence was a bit bland and not well chilled. We had to wait surprisingly long without the restaurant being full and, after all, how long should it take to prepare a sea food platter. The dark bread for the oysters was for those with few false teeth. The seafood was super fresh, served with lemons, mayo and vinegar with red onions. I wish they would have added another sauce like chili or garlic mayo for the lobster. My wife said her lobster was a bit dry, mine was fine. The deserts were just ok. Coffee ok. Toilets although renovated were very budget, nothing fancy there. Service is fine, the waiters are personal and in a good mood. The location in good at the top of the pedestrian street. So how do you rate that? Acceptable with a little plus? The main thing was the quality of the sea food which was good.
We had dinner here several times during our stay in Menton. Highly recommend it! They offer 3 course menus for eur 23, quite reasonable. as a starter, you can choose a seefood plate you will have oysters on it! The main courses are delicious we tried all of them. One note: if you take the menu, the desssert choice is limited but they are nice, and change it if you wish. The ice cream is delicious: the coco, salt caramel,... The service is very good especially one of the waiters really enjoys his work, is funny in a very nice way unfortunately i do not know his name: desolee!
We were seated immediately on a busy Saturday night. Service was good. We both got pasta dinners which were very filling and tasty. No complaints from us!
We were in Menton for the Thursday carnival and after having done an awful lot of walking collapsed in here under their heater for drinks late afternoon. It's a friendly family run place. The attraction of the heater meant that we stayed put for dinner too so I was surprised to see it lowly rated just now. My starter of muscles was tasty but a finger bowl would have been appreciated. Both our fish mains were tasty but barely warm unfortunately. My husband was looking forward to his tarte au citron but it was shop bought lemon meringue pie. My tarte tatin was burned. Would I return for a drink yes, food no.
Tourist trap just found it's face! Busy and with a lack of service , this place gave us not much but disappointments. Even though we spoke english to the waiter we were settled down with french menues and had to ask for english ones. Ordered 1 fish and 3 beefs, one of them with extra vegetables. We got one fish the only nice meal) , and 3 beefs, the one with extra veg didn't get any fries. We were told the sauce was soon to come. And waited and waited and waited. Cold food, halfway trough, eating slowly just waiting for the sauce we couldn't take it anymore. We told them again we were still waiting. They took the plaites, no excuse. And waited another 15 min for half the size of the meal and finally with sauce! Ordered the one who didn't get any fries medium done, but was mostly rare. When we got the bill there was no discount. Just don't go there. They hsven't got time for you, theire doing alot wrong without making up for it, it's noisy and overprised! Not a chance I'll return
