Pizzeria Da Mario - MELFI

We had lunch without a reservation. They are very friendly and helpful. Very typical local restaurant/pizzeria. Food was hot and generous portions.

We were at the end of our tour of southern Italy and looked to Google for eating options in Melfi. Mario's came up and we couldn't have chosen a better place to eat. It had a good menu from which we chose pasta and pizza, and house wine. All were very tasty, and prices very reasonable. It was easy to find (on the outskirts of the town) and would highly recommend.

It was a little strange, that at the day we have been there they didnt have any pizzas. So we took our chances to have pasta, which actually was very delicious. Just one minus waitress didnt speak in english at all.

Pizza bassa alla romana e senza cornicione,forse in Basilicata la fanno così? Comunque nella media.
