Bidra med feedbackAfter passing by Zodiac numerous times and noticing its emptiness, we finally decided to try it out last night. The restaurant is a charming little spot, with a more upscale vibe compared to other Indian eateries, situated inside a historic terrace house. The food was delicious - we started with veggie samosas and then enjoyed prawn masala and malai kofta, all of which were very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient, and our bill for two people came out to less than $50 - a great deal. We will definitely be returning to Zodiac in the future.
This is definitely one of the best Indian meals I have had in a very long time. We started with the tandoori sizzler and for our main courses we had chicken tikka masala, lamb rogan josh, and eggplant curry. Everything was incredibly delicious and my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The spice level was just right and the meat was very juicy and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
I was invited to go to Zodiac by some friends who live locally. It 's the type of place you could easily pass without giving it a second glance as it looks a bit like it is still a house front. As such, it will need to rely on good reviews to attract more people (there was only one other couple when the 3 of us visited) The restaurant was light and bright and the staff very pleasant. As I don 't eat as much as I used to I only had a couple of popadoms and a chicken sag but the curry was very tasty, although I would have liked it a bit spicier. in fairness to Zodiac I could have had this but when trying an Indian for the first time I always err on the side of caution as medium spice can vary greatly from place to place. Will definitely return as I really enjoyed the meal and the ambience
I have passed by this restaurant several times and noticed that it wasn't very crowded, but I always wanted to give it a try. One day when we were deciding where to have dinner, I suggested Zodiac and I am so glad I did. Currently, on Wednesdays and Thursdays, they offer any curry, roti, rice, and a glass of house wine for $20. I ordered the butter chicken and my friend ordered fish masala. Both dishes were good, but the fish masala was exceptional – I have since returned three more times and ordered the same dish each time. I keep telling myself that I will try something different next time, but we'll see. The staff is friendly and professional, the interior is cozy and modern. They also have outdoor seating, which I think will be great during the summer months. Currently, they offer a variety of dishes including stir-fries, steak, and Indian cuisine, but starting next month in November 2013, they will be focusing on curry and you will not be disappointed. The prices are reasonable, with most mains around $20. They also offer takeaway, and once they focus on Indian cuisine, there will be free delivery for orders over $30 in the local area. I would recommend this restaurant for couples, friends, and even solo diners.
We had dinner here with a group of friends. The place is bright, modern and the staff are friendly and attentive. The starters are very small and just 2 meals to choose from. Mains are great size and good variety. I had the risotto and it was very tasty. The Parma is also a very good size. The fish is a little lighter in size and the stir fry is again good size. So here is something for all appetite sizes. The dessert was just one option and I was disappointed at that. It was called some Indian ice cream but tasted like frozen condense milk with pistachio nuts on top. Wine and beers were good choice available. We asked for some bread with the starters, it came out still cold in the centre and for butter I had to ask extra again. To sum it up, we loved the mains but starters and desert was rather limited for an international restaurant.
