Yim Yam - Melbourne

Pretty bad customer service my partner finished their food 30 mins before I received mine which had hair in it. When we spoke to staff, we received blank looks.

We used to love this place but not sure what’s went wrong with it.We arrived had to ask for menus after about 15minutes.We then waited 45 minutes for our starters and a further 30 minutes then for our mains which they got two of the dishes wrong. What truly infuriated me was all the while the Uber ears are flying out of the kitchen while we sat there waiting for our food. Management really need to sort out their priorities or they’ll lose loyal customers. I will say the food was good as always. Won’t be back for a long time I reckon.

Hello all and a safe new year . We had dinner at yim yam sat 2/01 we waited half a hour to order then 25 minutes to get our food well first to come was rice then my wife got the wrong dish we asked where our spring rolls were staff said coming in fairness they swapped my wifes meal and did not charge . after our main meals staff brought out my daughters tom yum soup . After all the years going to yim yam not sure if will will return not sure if they are new owners . swans05

These people are so mixed up it is not funny. I rang last night to make a booking was advised “We are walk-in only, no bookings”. Ok, I arrived at 6:40pm tonight, restaurant was half full but “sorry we are fully booked”. I enquired with intrigue as to how a restaurant that does not take bookings can possibly be booked out ?............Sorry but people take bookings without us knowing ?????? Wtf, how is this even possible ??? We were advised to try again in 30-40 minutes. Sorry Yim Yam, your food is nice but you are not that special that you can treat people like idiots. We happily walked 1 block had a lovely meal at the Blue Stone Thai. This is the 2nd time that I have had issues with trying to get a table. I gave them the benefit of the doubt tried again. Sorry but no more. Disappointing as the food is great but service non existent.

WOW.... Definitely worthy of 5 stars! The food was full of flavour. Big, Excellent serving sizes. Stylish packaging. Will be back for more soon!
