Bidra med feedbackWe stumbled upon this delicious restaurant thanks to a voucher offer. We shared appetizers of calamari (perfectly cooked), meatballs (yum), and croquettes (which I don't usually enjoy, but these were lovely). The ribs were very soft and rich, my partner's fish and chips were great, and we topped off our meal with two desserts. The sticky date pudding had excellent flavor, but was a bit dry/overbaked, while the coffee-flavored panna cotta was spectacular. We will definitely return to try more items on the menu, especially since they roast their own coffee.
We visited Two Fat Monks on 3/3/18 for our anniversary and used a Good Food gift card that was accepted at this location. It is a lovely restaurant in the Northern suburbs with excellent food and service at an affordable price. I ordered the Gnocchi and my husband had the Salmon, both of which were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning in the future. No need to go all the way to the CBD for great food, Two Fat Monks has it all.
The Confit Pork Belly couldn’t be more any more perfectly executed. The thick cut protein was exceptionally fatty and tender, and very rich in flavour which the apple sauce naturally works to bring out. Paired with potato croquette cooked to a crispy outer, with mushy inner that also had a bit of chunky potato bits present. One of the best pork belly dishes I’ve had!
The food at Two Fat Monks is delicious and of high quality, yet affordable. The restaurant's modern and industrial style layout is super cool. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.
The humble panna cotta is running rampant, featuring in brunch menus all over Melbourne, but Two Fat Monk's take manages to stand out from the crowd. The espresso flavour captured in the silky panna cotta (much jiggle) was sensationally aromatic and not overly sweet, pairing beautifully with the sweeter crunch from the granola. A great dish for the sweet tooths who enjoy a sweet option as their first meal of the day or for dessert after the savouries.
