Slate Restaurant Bar - Melbourne

Got to the restaurant at 7.30 no one showed us to the table Had to wait for 10 minutes to get the menu Food was very average plus we had a missing item that never turned up to the table This is more of a bar than a restaurant and should just serve bar snacks

This is the best place!! So glad we found it while holidaying in Melboune last week. The service from Sam, Ulious and the other lovely man with the beard was just excellent. They looked after our large group so well and were very efficient and really friendly. We went for 'Happy Hour ' and stayed for hours because of the great service. We also went for breakfast and the food was just delicious. Have not had great service like this for a LONG time. This will definitely be our first port of call when we go back to Melbourne. Thank you so much Slate. :D

Had breakfast here with another vegan friend and both of us were given another menu item of our choice in exchange for the eggs without having asked. Exceptional service, beautiful venue and tasty food.
