Bidra med feedbackI stumbled upon this restaurant with its simple yet elegant decor and noticed a plate of 6 gyoza for $6.99 on the menu outside. Feeling hungry after a day of shopping, I decided to go in and order, even though I was in a rush. The waitress brought me a small Japanese teapot with a thermos of tea on the table. I accidentally spilled some hot tea on my hand while pouring, but the waitress quickly showed me how to use the thermos properly. The gyoza, filled with chopped meat and sliced leeks, arrived after a short wait and tasted delicious. The restaurant, located near Footscray markets, has a cozy atmosphere with simple wooden tables and a diverse menu. Despite its claim to be a ramen place, most of the menu items are not ramen. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. I would rate Sekai 4 1/2 stars for its affordable prices and tasty food. While you can find better Japanese cuisine at more expensive restaurants, Sekai is a great choice for a budget-friendly option in Footscray.
I looked at the remnants in my bowl and realized it didn't resemble ramen at all. It was just noodles in broth with pork. I had to force myself to eat the pork. It was a disappointment and a waste of both money and time.
The ramen at Footscray Markets is fantastic - so delicious and authentic, it reminds me of being in Japan. I will definitely be returning.
This place does not look sharp, it divides the building on the footscray markets that smell absolutely disgusting every day or night. buuut this place does good eating, at a good price. the curry catsu don is my absolute fav. I'll give it... how I write this review
This shop is only small and there isn't much seating if you wanted to dine in. I always get my Tofu Don Curry takeaway. It's $10.50 but a huge serving includes rice. I often eat here with work mates as the service is really quick....Food is delicious, hot and plentiful. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
