Rathdowne Village Delicatessen

I visited the restaurant today in search of the famous Lamingtons. After researching the best in Melbourne, I found this place. Unfortunately, they no longer make the Lamingtons, but I did try a slice of carrot cake with cream cheese icing. It was incredibly moist and soft, and both my mother-in-law and boyfriend were amazed by how delicious it was. They said it was the best carrot cake they've ever had. I was disappointed about the lack of Lamingtons, but I hope they bring them back soon as I search for another top spot to try them in Melbourne.

I have been frequenting this restaurant for a while now. While I usually make toasties at home, the ones served here are like the Usain Bolt of sandwiches. The coffees are also a perfect pick-me-up after a night out. Bon Appétit!

One of my top spots to grab a coffee and a bite to eat in Carlton North is Rathdowne Deli. As a dedicated fan of toasties, I can confidently say that you won't find a better one than what they serve here. My go-to is the ham, cheese, and pickles combo. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, especially the guy with the man-bun who makes a mean cup of coffee. Every visit guarantees excellent service. Don't miss out on this gem!

We're here frequently for tea and croissants (best tea in the area by far). The service is mostly hit with one particular character quite a miss with simple rudeness: the only detraction from a great place. Highly recommend the takeaway dinners

A relaxing place where you can sit down and enjoy a light snack and coffee. They have newspapers and magazines on the table, which is great if you're dropping by alone. The lamingtons here are amazing! They're made in house several times a day, and if you happen to come in right after they're freshly dipped then you're in for a real treat!
