Mr Ed Cafe - Melbourne

The name of this cafe recently changed from Mr Ed, but not the standard of food and service. The BLT sandwiches are well worth a visit, but the standout for me is the chilli folded eggs dish. This has become a common dish around Melbourne the offering here is the best I have encountered.

The food was delicious and the portions were a perfect size. Really well made coffee. I would make the 40 min trip from my house to come here again. Friendly service too!

Whilst the service was a little slow and they forgot our coffees, don't let this stop you from experiencing a high quality breakfast. I'm a porridge connoisseur and theirs was brilliant.

Benedict was somewhat different that what I am used to, but still rather nice. Friendly staff, and decent pot of tea as well.

Living in the area, myself and a couple of friends were curious to check out the new dinner menu on offer. We were treated to lovely tapas including a light calamari dish (pictured). They also offer crispy halloumi fries which definitely lived up to our expectations! I would highly recommend this place to friends or families looking for an easy and satisfying night meal Thanks to all at Mr Ed!
