Jones The Grocer - Melbourne

There was very little not to like about this restaurant. The attentive and friendly staff were not pushy. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, unlike many other places in Emporium. It's a licensed cafe with ample seating.

The restaurant's edgy industrial decor with metal-covered tables may seem a bit impersonal and cold at first, but that feeling quickly fades away as the friendly waiter greets you with a smile and the comfortable seat puts you in the right mood. The Jones burger, topped with aioli, mustard, and cheese, was delicious, perfectly cooked, and very satisfying for lunch. The dessert selection offers a variety of old favorites with creative twists. The drink menu features a wide range of options including healthy juices, cordials, coffee, tea, beer, and a small but excellent wine list. Located on the third floor of Emporium Melbourne on Lonsdale Street, the restaurant is open all day for breakfast and lunch, making it a convenient spot to take a break from work or shopping while enjoying the passing crowds. The on-site shop also offers a tempting selection of gourmet food and wine.

The experience was alright. We were not really impressed. The chai latte was weak. The prices were a bit high. The table was not clean when we arrived, which was disappointing for our first visit. The customer service could use some improvement. Hopefully, things will be better next time. If I do decide to return, thank you. Happy New Year! P.S. The female staff member was friendly.

Admittedly we visited between christmas and new year, but it was quiet with baptism of employees. we waited a long time to even order and the coffee was common and weak. mini eclair ploned on a saucer without care or presentation. that's melbourne. thousands of places to go with good coffee and service, so would not return to this.

Decided to go here for lunch after a lot and buy! we chose two plates, although you are probably sufficient to share. both came fairly fast, freshly prepared and packed with the freshest of the products sorted laundry, cheese, cracker, roasted bread,...dips artichokes....the list goes on! everything in everything, very pleasant and not too expensive.
