Bidra med feedbackFood was inedible. Sizzling steak was tough. Spoke to owner who apologised and took 10% of the bill. Previous experiences were different but we wii not be back.
Nice place. I had a good time with my old friend and enjoyed the food here. I had the spring rolls which were good. I then had the seafood hotpot with a side of rice. My friend had beef and vegetables. Wine was a cab sav. There aren’t many frills at this place but who cares. The food was tasty, the space nice and the service fine. It’s pretty basic but we enjoyed the experience.
This is a great family run local restaurant with a variety of Chinese dishes on offer. All great serving sizes. We had the home made dim Sims, chilli schezuan chicken and beef and noodles. Really, really good for a local pad! Service was great . Great for families and couples. Great value for money.
The food is outstanding. They seemed to be short staffed so we had to wait a little bit but the standard of the food made up for it. But. The covers on all the chairs needed a steamer as they were all creased, and the toilets were terrible. The bin for the paper towels looked like it had never been cleaned and the whole area was in need of a good clean. It’s a shame because all it needs is a day of cleaning.
We discovered the Ivanhoe Chinese Restaurant several weeks ago, although we live not far away, and what a great find it has been. Beautiful (traditional Chinese) just like I remember on my first try in Bendigo many years ago. Food is fresh, hot, tasty and always delicious. Very friendly owner, always happy and makes you feel most welcome. We try and go weekly and as the serves are generous we always leave feeling very satisfied. Highly recommended, give it a try.
