Bidra med feedbackAfter a long walk at the state park, we arrived in Box Hill craving a hearty meal. With not many restaurants open, we were drawn to this particular one due to its appealing selection and prices. The xiao long baos were satisfactory, and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious pumpkin pancake, despite its unassuming appearance. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the beef noodles had a fantastic texture and a rich broth. The empty plates left behind were a clear indication of how enjoyable the food was.
We decided to order takeout from David Camy based on positive recommendations. We tried the fried noodles, special fried rice, fried pork dumplings, and sweet and sour and spicy sliced pork with rice. The fried rice was unremarkable, the noodles were enjoyable, and the sliced pork had good flavor, was oily, and quite spicy. However, the pork dumplings were dry and lacked juiciness. The portions were large and prices were affordable, making it popular among customers.
I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, but I'm glad we decided to go back for a late dinner last night. The food was delicious and served promptly, and the prices were very reasonable. The Dumplings were a standout dish, and there was a good variety of options on the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was almost full. The decor is a bit outdated and could use a refresh, but it is simple and functional and doesn't take away from the great food.
Love the many different dumpling flavours available, they are cooked really nicely and are pretty cheap so can’t complain! It’s super close to me so it’s probably one of the top dumpling places I visit whenever I have cravings
Next Dan Dan noodle place in Melbourne. Great prices and food comes out quick 10char. Dumplings are mad too. Had spicy ones but definitely dan dan is good
