Wittkoop - Meersburg

Burgers were very tasteful. also a good choice. beside burgers also falafel and vegan dishes. only a scandal that they do not offer vegan mayo with the riders themselves and that they need to ask themselves.

Burger Square with a series of clearly labeled vegan burger options (they have a own side on the menu the burgers themselves are good, it is not the best vegan patty I ever had, but it is not bad! unfortunately a bit on the expensive side.

Not sure if they changed the menu and made it worse since the last reviews. They have a sentence on the menu that all burgers can be made vegetarian/vegan. What you get for that is unclear. So we asked the waiter and he told us they would just leave out the non vegetarian or non vegan ingredients. So if you order a vegan Tijuana burger that would contain beef patty, double cheddar, guacamole, bacon, onions, tomatoes and salad they replace the beef patty with a vegetable patty and leave out the cheddar and bacon completely. You get no replacement for that. And you pay the SAME amount for that, so EUR 19.90 which is crazy expensive. Really bad deal for this vegan burger. The other options aren't better. Nothing else is labeled on the menu so you have to ask if anything else is vegan. Service was also annoying since we got one of the burgers wrong and it was hard to get their attention. Guess the edamame would be vegan by ingredients but I suspect they cook them in the same 1000° C oven where the meat is cooked which would not be great for taste. All in all a really bad and expensive visit. If you have other options in Meersburg, go there. Would not recommend Wittkoop at all. Updated from previous review on 2024-04-15

A typical place on a beautiful square. Omnivorous menu with different vegan options. We ate two excellent sandwiches and delicious fries.

Has clearly vegan labeled burgers on the menu that are delicious. A little bit expensive, but the side salad is great as well.
