Bidra med feedbackCame here to try their food and look around but was told after Covid they were able to keep the restaurant open unfortunately. There was a lot to look at I'll definitely be back for some house decor
We had a basketball game today and we're passing through downtown meeker and spotted this beautiful place to eat. You can tell the establishment might have been a bank or something and I am a big fan of revitalizing the older downtown buildings, so I was immediately interested in this place. As we walked toward the restaurant, the big pretty windows gave it such a cool look. As we walked inside it was a wide open restaurant that had a bar type seating area as well as tables laid out throughout the restaurant. The restaurant joined up to a neat little shop that sold antiques and boutique type stuff. They had a small menu with about 10 items. I had the steak sandwich, mom had the chicken salad, the wife had a deli sandwich, and my kids had the bacon cheeseburger. The onion rings were wonderful! The food was fantastic and I will definitely be back! As I exited, I noticed they had a cool little bakery display, they had cheesecakes, cookies and other desserts that looked delicious. We settled on a dozen cookies and man were they good. Meeker definitely hit a home run with this place. Try it out!
We heard about the shed from a friend and have to agree the onion rings were good, I wouldn 't necessarily die for them but they were good. the sandwiches we ordered were decent and plenty to fill one up. I suppose my only complaint was being charged for a piece of cake that we didn 't order. unfortunately we didn 't immediately scan the bill and noticed when adding to our check register the error. I have placed a call to the establishment in hopes for rectification, if not I will certainly be back on this site to reduce the rating from what I consider average. Update 3/11/2020 place phone call, left message Monday 3/9/2020 have heard nothing to date probably won 't if they don 't check their phone messages or read the reviews. shortly after I updated this post I received a call from I assume the owner/manager and she VERY politely and calmly discussed the situation and refunded the error to my credit card transaction. My thanks to that lady (I didn 't catch her name) for handling the situation.
I wouldn't suggests going to this restaurant if you are gay. We were told to sit anywhere and then after about 10 minutes (only 4 tables and three servers) we thought a server was coming to greet us and then began to clear the table not even 4 feet from us. We said thank you and walked out, it's 2020 and it's sad that people are still so small minded.
A delightful surprise in a tiny rural town. Charming decor, excellent food and service! And when your meal is done, be sure to check out the antique store in back for fabulous finds.
