As usual, this was an exceptional meal. We'd eaten here several times before, and each time was a memorable experience. My wife, who doesn't like fish, opted to order the skate wing, recommended by the waitress. It was served with spinach spätzle and caper brown butter. To my wife's and my surprise, she actually enjoyed it very much. The regular menu has only fish dishes, but our waitress said that a call to the restaurant in advance would allow them time to add a non-fish item for that person. I ordered the striped bass with fingerling potatoes, piperade, roasted corn salad, and romesco. As I knew it would be, it was wonderful! The roasted corn salad elevated the dish perfectly. Dessert was a sour cream panna cotta with strawberries; it was a dream delight. There were three items on the dessert menu, each of which was created and prepared by the chef. Reservations usually have to be made weeks in advance, but it's worth the wait. Service was excellent, the music was soft and not intrusive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommended!
